Beat up men for looking at women? Were they serious? What the fuck is this psycho violent jealous shit?
To be honest I just made that one up. But I’ve heard lots of stupid shit like it, and wouldn’t surprise me if someone has posted that with about a thousand reblogs on tumblr.

Kurt Cobain, Nirvana

Ummm…this is one of the few times I guess that ignorance is truly bliss. O.o

Kurt Cobain was an awful musician, a vastly overrated songwriter, and a fucking idiot.
This is Ashley.
Ashley saw a post about a fact that isn’t correct and it slightly offends her.
However, she noticed it was by did-yuo-kno, not did-you-kno; she does not write dumbass comments proving did-yuo-kno wrong.
Ashley knows did-yuo-kno’s facts are a joke, not a dick, so she doesn’t take it so hard.
You go, Ashley!

Good on you, Ashley!
i’m thinking of taking guitar over the summer and i need a guitar first of all
can someone give me some advice
i was thinking of getting a squier fender electric guitar (in a light blue) i tried it out and i like it, but i haven’t played guitar since like 5 years or 4 years ago so i’m way before a beginner, like i’m not good at all
same with amps and such
can anyone help? message me! or reply to this!
What types of music are you interested in playing? The Fender (and Squier) Stratocaster is a very versatile guitar that will cover a lot of different styles, from country to pop to jazz to rock, offers pretty decent fret access to the top end of the neck, and has nicely carved bits on the back and top to make it comfier to play.
The Gibson (and Epiphone) Les Paul gives you a warmer sound, as they are generally made of mahogany rather than ash/alder, and have humbuckers rather than singlecoils, and so are more suited to hard rock, blues, rock, metal, although you can play most styles of music comfortably with them. The massive body gives you a LOT of sustain as well, although this combined with the large neck heel means that upper fret access is harder (though not by any means impossible). The Gibson (and Epiphone) SG will have a very similar tone to the Les Paul, although not as much sustain, as it has a thinner body. It also has amazing fret access as the neck is usually attached to the body at the 19th fret (I think) instead of the 16th, and has a very small heel.
Of course, if you prefer the Fender body shapes, but want a warmer tone, Squier (as well as Ibanez, Jackson, ESP/LTD, Schecter, and others) do Strat-style guitars with double humbuckers, or a mix of humbuckers and singlecoils for versatility.
Basically, if you want to play metal, you pretty much NEED a humbucker, at least at the bridge. If not, you can probably get away with whatever pickup combination you like.
The best thing to do if you aren’t sure though, is go to a few guitar shops, with a friend who plays if possible, and ask to try a few different guitars. If you can’t take a friend with you, ask the salesperson to demonstrate a few guitars, talk about what styles of music you want to play, and make sure that you hold the guitar, sit with it and see how comfortable it feels, ask to try it on a strap, etc.
I’ve not got much knowledge about amps though, but for practice, something like the Line 6 Spider series, or the Fender G-dec should cover pretty much all the tones you’ll need for most styles of music, and do it well enough for bedroom practice. The Fender g-dec even has backing tracks in a variety of styles, for you to jam along to.
Hope this is helpful, if you’ve got any more questions reblog this and tag it as #metalheadadam, or send me an ask.
