I love Heavy Metal. I play guitar, and listen to lots of music. I write music too. This is just to share my thoughts, be they good, bad, or anything inbetween. It won't always be about music, but it will MOSTLY be about music. There may also be some naked ladies now and then.

Photoset with 16 notes

So, back on May 16th, Jackson Guitars uploaded the first pic to their Faceboook timeline, with the caption “a taste of things to come”. There was also a picture of the back of the guitar, and a couple of shots showing a variety of colours hanging on a wall. Until yesterday, that was it. There was nothing on their blog, nothing on their website, nothing anywhere. Some people on a couple of forums knew that they had a 26.5” scale instead of 25.5”, and could tell from the colour of the logo on the pickups which particular EMGs they are. But that was it. Now Jackson have unveiled the line. It’s part of the X series, so made in India, but with through-body neck. And I’ve heard a lot of really good things about the X series - the construction is supposed to be really good. Apparently they’re going to US$699 and US$849, depending on bridge type and finish, with the one I want, black quilt maple top, fixed bridge, being $749, which at current exchange rates is GBP£477. I’M SO EXCITED!
